Worcestershire marched to a table-topping five-wicket victory, though not without hiccups, as they chased down the 81-run target in 19.4overs on the final morning. Chris Rushworth picked all five wickets – and at regular intervals – to reduce Worcestershire to 55 for 5 at one point. However, Ben Cox and Ross Whitley took their team home in under 20 overs, after the platform laid by Thomas Charles Fell who made a run-a-ball 36 before getting dismissed.
Brief scores: Durham 273 (Jack Burnham 76, Cameron Bancroft 70; Charlie Morris 6-53) & 197 (Liam Trevaskis 47; Josh Tongue 5-37, Joe Leach 3-49) lost to Worcestershire 390 (Riki Wessels 118, Ross Whiteley 72; Matt Salisbury 4-67) and 84/5 (Thomas Charles Fell 36; Chris Rushworth 5-28) by five wickets.
In another low-scoring final day, Lancashire openers polished off the 16-run target in 2.4 overs for a ten-wicket win at Old Trafford in Manchester.
Brief scores: Northamptonshire 230 (Luke Wood 66, Luke Procter 48; Richard Gleeson 5-63, Graham 4-45) and 200 (Rob Keogh 42; Richard Gleeson 5-50) lost to Lancashire 415 (Keaton Jennings 97, Dane Vilas 97, Luke Wood 5-72) and 17/0 (Haseeb Hameed 13*) by 10 wickets
