NEW DELHI: India spinner Harbhajan Singh on Tuesday wrote on Twitter that every cricketer who plays for India is a ‘Hindustani’, in response to a tweet sent out by Sanjiv Bhatt, a former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and a prolific social media user. Bhatt questioned the board of control for cricket in India’s (BCCI) selection policy by asking whether there is any Muslim player in the Indian cricket team right now? And have the Muslims stopped playing cricket?
Harbhajan, replying to the tweet, further wrote that one should not bring up the caste and colour of the players and that Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christians are like brothers.
