The Bloom between Yuvraj and Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh are the two pillars of the modern Indian cricket team, On numerous occasions, this formidable duo rescued team India from a difficult situation and in their international career, the superstars have also won many men accolades for the Men in Blues.

The most memorable ones would be the 2007 Twenty 20 world cup and also the 2011 ICC cricket world cup wherein both the tournaments Dhoni lead the team in a brilliant manner and Yuvraj Singh showcased his all rounding abilities for the team, the 2007 Twenty 20 world cup was a turning point for both the players.

After that, a lot of blooms happened in their career, and after the 2011 world cup Yuvraj Singh fought a tough battle with Cancer and though after that he did not manage to hold his spot in the Indian national team, some rumors were also there about the relationship of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh grown into enmity from friendship? As there was some incident which makes the Indian fans to believe in those rumors.

The captaincy rivalry:

 Mahendra Singh Dhoni makes his way to the Indian national team in 2005, and Yuvraj Singh also manages to revive his career at that time from a dip, and later Dhoni with his phenomenal batting becomes the No.1 batsman in the One-day international cricket and since then in the next two years, both Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhonibatted well for the team.

In 2007 after a disappointing performance in the 2007 world cup Rahul Dravid steps down from the captaincy and in that year MS Dhoni was selected as a skipper of the Indian national team for the 2007 T20 world cup, in that tournament team Indian senior players were on rest and Dhoni was announced as a skipper for the team and team India traveled the tournament without any coach, but in that adverse situation, Mahendra Singh Dhoni showcased his brilliant captaincy skills and Yuvraj Singh also displayed his immense batting ability in the tournament and team India won the first T20 world cup.

Later for his huge success, again Dhoni was selected as skipper for the Indian One-day international team, and Yuvraj Singh was selected as a vice-captain for the squad, and according to some source, the Southpaw Yuvraj Singh was not happy with the decision.

 The first kind of chaos was seen in 2008 in the dressing room between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh, at that point Yuvraj Singh quoted:

“I think things like rivalry and confrontations are talks stirred up by the media. Me and Dhoni are very good friends and help each other at any time because we understand how the game has to be played.”

Though earlier Yuvraj Singh also sometimes confessed that he always wished to lead the Indian cricket team at some point in his career, however, in the next few years they played some unforgettable innings for the Indian national team.

Difficult situation for Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh:

After the 2011 world cup, things didn’t go well for either Yuvraj Singh or for Mahendra Singh Dhoni, after his fight against Cancer, he made his comeback in the Indian national team in the year 2012.

On the other hand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s India was also suffering, team India faced a humiliation against the Australian and English side in overseas and questions were also raised on MS Dhoni’s test captaincy abilities.

 Later in 2013 under the captaincy of the Dhoni team, Indian won another ICC event, ICC Champions Trophy, and with that win, Mahendra Singh Dhoni becomes the first captain to win all the ICC events as an Indian skipper.

In the 2014 T20 world cup, everyone was expecting a win for the Indian national team but they lost that match in the finals against the neighboring country Sri Lanka, everyone blamed Yuvraj  Singh for his slow innings in the finals against Sri Lanka and even stones were pelted to his house but Mahendra Singh Dhoni backed Yuvraj Singhat that moment by saying that at that moment the 2011 ICC man of the tournament did his best for the team.

 In that year in the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore brought Yuvraj Singh for 14 Crores, and at the end of that year, Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced a sudden retirement from the test format of the game.

 in that same year, Yuvraj Singh got dropped from the top 30 players who can be in the team for the 2015 cricket world cup, though in the Ranji trophies Yuvraj played some decent knocks to be in the Indian team for the world cup but he didn’t get the chance.

Yograj Singh’s harsh Statement about MS Dhoni:

Things get heated up again between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh in the year 2015, 16th February, when the father of Yuvraj Singh Yigraj Singh impaled Mahendra Singh Dhoni with his words and says because of him, Yuvraj Singh didn’t make it to the 2015 ICC cricket world cup team, it was the day when Delhi Daredevils shell outs 16 crores for the Indian master class Yuvraj Singh.

The statement of Yograj Singh created a controversy among the media later 2011 world cup winner Yuvraj Singh cooled up  thing on his twitter account  by saying:

“Like every parent my dad is also passionate and I am sure got carried away always enjoyed playing under Mahi (MS Dhoni) and would do so in future.”

In the sporting event controversies are also a part and parcel of the game, and in every sport players faced controversies at some point of their career, this was and will be a part of the game, with it the players needs to give their best shots for their respective teams and should focus on their performance.
