Players are finding they have to walk distances of up to 10km to advance in the game – but one man has come up with a solution.
A brand new app from Nintendo – Pokémon GO – is taking the world by storm.
Already, you’ll have noticed friends, family members and even co-workers getting overly excited at the thought that a Pikachu could be wandering around somewhere nearby.
The augmented reality game requires players to walk around their homes, parks and local towns to find new pokémon, as well as achieving goals, for example hatching incubating eggs.
But if all this sounds a bit too much like hard work – check out this latest hack.
First if all, you can’t use your car to increase your distance – so players must resort to walking or cycling either 2km, 5km, or 10km to hatch them (other forms of slow transportation can also work).
The most common pokémon are found in the 2km eggs, with the rarest in the 10km eggs – which means you’re in for a lot of walking if you want to advance in the game.
But that’s where Rusty Cage’s hack comes in.
And you don’t even have to lift a finger.
Since the app took off earlier this month, thousands of users are already noticing the positive effect it is having on their fitness levels – and even their mental health.
One player, who admitted to being a “bit overweight”, took to social media to admit that they are currently walking further than ever before without even realising.
They wrote: “I could lie and say I set an outrageous goal for myself and somehow managed to meet it; but really I was just trying to catch some pokemon.
