Pakistan Women made a grand recovery from being bowled out for just 70 in the opening ODI to clinch the three-match series in the decider. On Monday (February 11), they picked up a four-wicket win over Windies in Dubai to take the series 2-1.

Chasing just 160 to win after having skittled Windies out for 159 in 47.3 overs, Pakistan took the nearly the same amount of time (a ball short) for their chase.

Diana Baig and Nashra Sandhu ran through Windies’ top order and returned respective three-wicket hauls that set the opposition back. Stafanie Taylor anchored the innings with a half-century, but ran out of partners after brief assistance from Deandra Dottin and Shemaine Campbelle. Baig sent her back after taking a return catch when on 52, after which, Any Fletcher’s unbeaten 21 took Windies past the 150-run mark.

Pakistan were led by opener Sidra Ameen’s half-century, as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Ameen scored a patient 52 that came off 107 balls that had taken Pakistan with the win in sight. Sana Mir remained unbeaten, taking her side over the line with four wickets to spare. Shakera Selman and Taylor returned with two wickets apiece.
