3rd Test: India Ride on Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane Knocks to Grab Control on Day 2

Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane continued to consolidate India’s innings on Day 2 of the Indore Test.

Captain Virat Kohli eased his way to a second double century while Ajinkya Rahane also came up with a career-best knock as India took complete command against New Zealand on the second day of the third and final Test in Indore on Sunday.

New Zealand were 28 for no loss at stumps on the second day of the third and final Test, trailing India by 529 runs in the first innings in Indore on Sunday.

India rode on the 365-run partnership between Virat Kohli (211) and Ajinkya Rahane (188) to declare their innings on 557/5 against a hapless New Zealand bowling attack.

India, who clinched the three-match series in Kolkata with their second win, look to complete a whitewash.
