India trounced England 69-18 to qualify for the semi-finals of the Kabaddi World Cup.
Indian team produced a stellar performance to make it to the semi-finals of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup after registering an emphatic 69-18 victory over England in their last Group A match on Tuesday in Ahmedabad.
Playing in a must-win game, India displayed great tactics and outclassed England in all formats.
With the win, India finished the group with 21 points in five matches with four wins and one loss. The hosts were stunned by South Korea in the tournament opener but they came back in style and defeated Australia, Bangladesh and Argentina by big margins.
Earlier, Kenya kept their hopes alive of a semi-final berth after registering a thumping 74-19 win over the US in their last league tie.
Desperately in need of a win, Kenya finally pressed the acceleration button to push Thailand out and occupy the second spot in Group B.
Top-placed Iran are already in the semi-finals while Kenya will have to wait for the Japan (fourth) vs Thailand (third) match on Wednesday to know their fate.
